Grade 2, Creating models and counting each square to calculate area

  1. With teacher support, this pair of students realized that each side of the prism would need wrapping paper. They decided that tracing one face, then flipping it and tracing the next face, then flipping it and tracing the next face, etc. would help them figure out how much wrapping paper they would need.
